Tampa Bay Buccaneer Swashbuckler  1978. My friend and I decided last minute to try out for the 1978 Tampa Bay Swashbuckler squad and to the surprise of both of us we made it!  I cheered one year under the direction of Mary May. It wasn’t till years later that I realized what an opportunity it was to have cheered for an NFL football team.
I also worked in the Press Box at the old Sombrero stadium for 2 to 3 years and I worked one year at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers home office on Westshore Boulevard in Tampa, Florida. I have lived in Tampa since 1963. I worked front office for the Tampa Bay Bandits United States football league team under the ownership of John Bassett and Burt Reynolds who was a minority owner.  I did promotional work for WRBQ Q105 radio as a Zooette which back in the day had a morning drive show the Q zoo with Scott Shannon and Cleveland Wheeler it was nationally known.  I’m working currently at Amalie Arena home of the Tampa Bay Lightning.
